![]() ![]() We’ll begin by releasing this for Native Instruments content products only, so we can establish a foundation, and iteratively release uninstall for the remaining products. To mitigate a few issues we were able to identify, we’ll be committing to one more small but impactful startup adjustment before committing to a feature you’ve all been waiting for (and is long overdue): automatic uninstall. Following the release of Komplete 14 many users experienced incredibly sluggish startup performance, caused by high traffic to some of our services. We’re also excited to share a few next steps. Additionally we cleaned up whatever mess we found in the process, such as sluggish modal and search behavior, some content, and tons of minor UI updates, to name a few. We’re excited to see all of this out in the wild, and see how much of an effect this will have on our app’s overall performance.īut of course, alongside this we’re releasing some goodies, such as Install All for the subscription page, browsing Effects by subcategories, and browsing products by their vendor. I have always complied with reaper and updated without indecent until now. We’ve finally completed work on a large tech overhaul! The goal was to improve the overall performance of our searching, filtering, browsing, startup, and management mechanics, alongside how we handle and access data. I've looked everywhere NA- claims to be installing it the NI 64 & 33 bit NI VST folder but all that's there is Kontakt 4 and 5 I may have library issues as well to troubleshoot after resolving this but as of now it's not a library issue (yet). Perhaps there's another way to open projects with older versions of Kontakt6 I'm not aware of and forgo the process of updating.Īs it is now I'm scared to uninstall Kontakt 5 or 4 as a trouble shooting countermeasure for fear that They will vanish from my system the same way and I'll have no way of using kontakt 5 even as a last resort/nightmarish workaround as I create custom patches in Kontakt 6 for the majority of my template. The reaper project wont open correctly unless the update is done. ![]() Please update your system in order to open it" "This project was saved using a newer version of Kontakt. I've had the experience quite often when attempting to open a reaper project on another system with a prompt. All because unnecessary "updates" from a one size fits all update system. I've dealt with Windows updates messing up my music computers but find it daunting when Native Access completely eats it's own programs, offers no installation path when they need to be replaced. I resubmitted all my serial numbers at NI and that did nothing Kontakt 6 was only ever installed on this machine using Native Access never came on a CD so I can't re install it from any other media as I did with kontakt 5. When I reopen Native Access once again the function sees kontakt 6 as an available uninstalled program again. Upon installation, the NA function thinks it works and offers an"installation successful" check mark upon completion of the alleged "install", however kontakt.dll or stand alone icon option is nowhere to be found in the system, in the NI kontakt folder, or anywhere else.īeyond that: Kontakt 6 is also NOT on the list of programs available to be uninstalled.(or guitar rig pro 5 that was "updated" subsequently ) The problem is that since the "update" Native Access dose NOT see Kontakt 6 installed my machine where it's pointed or anywhere else.Īgain, Native Access offers the prompt to install but it's not going to where it suppose to be installed. I found that option but it still won't install ![]()
